NEXT RACE DATE:

2021 South Australian Tourism Awards - Bronze Medal

I've run 72 marathons and this is one of my favourites. Everything exceeded my expectations - the quality of the medals, the gift bags, the signage at the start finish line, using a drone to video runners, enthusiastic volunteers and very well stocked aid stations - it was all top notch. You put on a world-class race, so thank you.

Welcome to Karta Pintingga Country.

The Kangaroo Island Marathon was established in 2015 and has welcomed runners representing 25 countries and every state in Australia over the past decade. The course route carves its way through the heart of a shutdown Flinders Chase National Park. Runners are inspired by post-bushfire regenerating flora and fauna, undulating and deviating roads, an exposed coastal section with cliff top views to the powerful southern ocean and a boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks.
